DREAMS:
A SOLO EXHIBITION BY KHIN ZAW LATT
DREAMS is a solo exhibition by internationally renowned artist Khin Zaw Latt from Myanmar. It mirrors the artist’s emotions when seeing wars raging all over the world, both in the past and at present. When there is war, no matter which one, and no matter who wins, the true losers are the people living in the warzone. The winners are obviously the people from neither side. Thus, this exhibition conveys the feelings of the artist as he sees the effects of wars.
DREAMS, consequently, is the artist Khin Zaw Latt’s idea akin to a dream that would like to see true peace in the world, no more discrimination and no more fighting. As viewers glance at the pieces of this exhibition, they won’t forget the sufferers who were affected by the war, they will be aware of the unreasonable destruction when considering the copious number of people who had to lose their families and leave their hometowns. Innumerable people and families have had to lose their lives. Finally, this exhibition will play a small part in leading us to have a shared dream and bring us to a peaceful, harmonious world. Let’s hope this will not be a mere dream.
